Вся ваша деятельность, как предводителя племени, связана с поселением, которое со временем трансформируется в город. Здесь вы будете возводить здания, строить дороги и тренировать войска. Отсюда будут отправляться на войну подконтрольные нам отряды. Город – это ваша главная база, которую придется не только развивать, но и защищать от нападений со стороны других игроков, также развивающих собственные нации.
Несмотря на кажущуюся глобальность, DomiNations пропагандирует микроменеджмент. Заключается он в сборе ресурсов и буквально в каждом действии. Автоматизации в игре минимум, все действия придется выполнять вручную, и они быстро станут рутинными. Учитывая, что игра живет собственной жизнью даже в отсутствии игрока, то будьте готовы навещать свое поселение хотя бы несколько раз в день, если рассчитываете добиться успеха.
Когда дело доходит до войны, то здесь все тоже довольно просто – в духе других стратегий такого рода из App Store. Размещаете войска вокруг вражеской базы, и они самостоятельно бросаются в атаку. При этом время от времени вы все-таки можете отдавать приказы и использовать вспомогательные средства, которые помогут воинам в бою.

Визуально DomiNations выглядит отлично. Внешний вид построек и войск сменяется от эпохи к эпохе, картинка яркая, но не скатывается в мультфильм, подражая Clash of Clans. Вообще DomiNations не хочется рассматривать в качестве еще одной стратегии. Игра самобытна и интересна, хотя и использует распространенные механики для привлечения и удержания игроков.
